JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the charge nurse, the Certified Medication Aide exemplifies outstanding customer service in observing tenants’ individual schedules and preferences while providing assistance with activities of daily living and effectively implementing, communicating, and documenting tenant care. A Certified Medication Aide is responsible for administering daily medication to tenants in our community. Also referred to as Medical Aide Technicians, their duties include monitoring patients, reporting changes, and collecting samples. We are currently interviewing for full-time or part-time positions.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Provide residents with desired services in a caring, safe, and timely manner.
2. Provide redirection, reassurance, and emotional and psychological support to residents and family members.
3. Assist with personal care services with dignity and grace.
4. Assist with medication administration under the delegation of a RN.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Iowa certified Medication Aide or Medication Manager or willingness to acquire one.
