JOB DESCRIPTION

Center Point Heights, located in beautiful Center Point, IA is seeking a full-time Activities Director to join our team. Using charismatic energy, you will actively engage residents to participate in activities that promote their wellness within our community. The selected candidate must have successful completion of the state-specific required training/certification, such as the Activity Professional Qualification Course; if not currently obtained, must be obtained within the first six months of employment. Demonstrates leadership abilities. Excels in time management and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining an organized schedule. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and other employees.

JOB DUTIES

  • Preparing a monthly calendar of activities

  • Leading group and individualized activities

  • Encouraging and building tenant participation in activities

  • Assisting with a monthly tenant council meeting

  • Organizing and scheduling community events

  • Managing an activity budget

  • Recruit and supervise volunteers

  • Complete activity component assessments

  • Post activities and special events on social media outlets

REQUIREMENTS

Maintain a current Activity Director Certification via the State of Iowa
